Ben and McLean's Birthday Party...part two of three.

It is hard to believe that three years have passed since these precious boys were born....were they ever as small as they were in the photo albums shown below?

Well, the fact of the matter is, time zips by like lightning and here we are celebrating their third birthday.  We started at Fire Station #7 in Little Rock, Arkansas.  The kids were given the royal treatment by the firemen and (woman).  As guests began to arrive, Anne greeted the children with firemen hats.

One of the firemen slid down the pole and then dressed in his fire-protective gear...it glowed in the dark...then he put on his mask and turned on the flashing lights...you should have seen the children's eyes when he spoke while he had his mask on...sounded just like Darth Vader.

Mimi, Grandaddy and Great Grandma Patterson were there along with Nonna and Pops to enjoy the tour.  One of the boy's buddies along with his dad were fascinated too!

Children, moms and dads were all mesmerized as the firemen showed them all the parts of the firetruck...

Neither Ben nor McLean were too sure about climbing in the big truck at first.....

....but as you can see, they quickly overcame their fears and loved playing grown-up fireman!

Mommy loved seeing her boys having so much fun!

Now on to the rest of the party....the guests started to arrive and were greeted with lots of decorations, lots to eat, and fun things to do...

The coloring table greeted the children

Some pictures of the decorations....

Little friends having lots of fun...............

And someone always wanted to play with Mary Elizabeth

Time to cut the birthday cake!

                                                            And blow out the candles!

Super yummy!

Oh boy, now the kids get to make their own treat bags!

After everyone has left, we all pack up to go to the playground across the street so the kids can process some of that sugar!

Ben took the curve a lilttle bit too fast and down he went...but there was mommy to kiss his owie and make it all better!

All in all, I'd say it was a pretty wonderful day!
