Fall visit to Athens and Little Rock

I left on September 25th to go spend a few days with Trevor, Paige and Piper in Athens and had a great time visiting.  On the 27th, Paige, Piper and I boarded a plane in Atlanta and flew to Memphis where Anne and the boys picked us up.  We had lunch at a fun, local restaurant called 'Hueys' and then zipped home to Little Rock, a few hours away.  We spent a whirlwind few days doing all kinds of fun Fall activities like the Fall party at Gene and Anne's church, bonfire and hayrides at friends of Anne and Gene's, and then, finally, Boo in the Zoo...which was pretty spectacular for children.  5 days went by so fast and, as usual, I hated to say goodbye to the boys and their mom and dad.  We flew back to Atlanta where Trevor picked us up, I said goodbye to them and drove on home to Columbia.  Fear not, my sad little heart...only 3 weeks away from more hugs and kisses from the four greatest grandchildren on the planet.
Daddy's grilling hamburgers for supper while I'm trying to use the air pump!

We just put a clip in my hair, so I'm gonna do baby's hair!

Okay, your turn baby doll

I love you!

Wow, look at how high we are!  Right after take off!

Straight to church that night for our fall party...Miss Piper, AKA bumble bee, is in a hurry to go!

Here are Ben and McLean ready to save the world from mean old fires!

Dad will always be our hero!

Sweet Mary Elizabeth loves to listen to her brothers

Enough of that bee costume....I wanna play games!

Saturday night at the Mexican restaurant before Boo in the Zoo

In the main pavillion at the zoo all the children got to dance with a DJ...the kids loved it!

At first, the boys were simply mesmerized

Piper started jiving right away
Ben stood back and just watched for a while, but pretty soon joined in!

McLean really started dancing after he saw all the kids dancing

Let's go ride the train, daddy!

But first, a stop by our favorite truck in the world...the fire truck...and all the firemen thought we were so cool in our firemen outfits

There was all kinds of entertainment; country singers, large screen movies, rock climbing, haunted houses, train rides, eveerything you can think of!

Just like being at the fair

Mary E stayed toasty warm

Spooky decorations all over
