What a fun fall weekend we have had! Troyce and Gary picked us up friday evening and whisked us away to Asheville, North Carolina where we spent the night after chatting till after midnight. By 7 the next morning we were ready to head up into the mountains for sightseeing and shopping. We stopped in a quaint little town and then went to the highest elevation in the mountains. Let me tell you, it is hard to breathe when hiking uphill at that elevation! I have a tremendous respect for high peak mountain climbers. We stopped in Little Switzerland for lunch and was it ever delicious. We rushed back to Columbia, Gary and Troyce dropped us off and we transformed into wedding go-ers for the Sweeten wedding. The Sweetens are dear friends we have known for years since we lived in Blythewood many years ago. We love their family so much. We ran into good friends, the Dickinsons, and enjoyed a wonderful evening together. The band was fabulous, the food was great and I loved meeting Edwin's new bride. We came home, changed again and went back to the Andersons to watch Carolina beat Florida! Whew, what a weekend!
On to the Sweeten wedding:
