The Making of Midsummer

With only 4 weeks until the show opens, we are staying on schedule for costumes and set design. These first pictures show students in my technical theatre class building costumes, creating sound cues, and making Bottom's donkey head. The shots of the set are the initial designs of the set. What is yet to come are lots and lots of live plants that will give the appearance of the woods. There are more set pieces that have to be painted. The treese have thousands and thousands of silver and gold "real" leaves painted for attachment to the leaves. Students have been doings this every day for nearly six weeks. The lights are being 'geled' so that the color scheme will be blues and pinks. The fountain is a working fountain and will work for the show. So here's our 'behind the scenes' look at A Midsummer Night's Dream! I hope you will come see the final product!
