In the midst of all the chaos relating to auditions and the crazy schedule that accompanies by default, we moved our daughter, her husband, and two children (soon to be three) out of their first home over the weekend. It was bittersweet, to say the least. Goodbye to Greenville, and hello to Little Rock, Arkansas. It will be quite a change for them and us; no more hour and a half runs up to Greenville to hug those grandbabies. We will bathe them in prayer and beseech our Father to prepare the way for all the changes and adjustments that come with moving away from family. I thought this was to be the weekend we physically moved them to Little Rock, but as it turns out, their home will not be ready until the last weekend in February. So the boys and Anne have moved in with us for the month. Tears are delayed and many happy memories will be made this month. Next weekend, for example, we are taking the boys, Anne and Gene, Paige and Piper to the Ringling Brothers circus. Trevor will be plugging away at school and unable to join us. Lots of furlough days in February will give us chances to go to the children's museum and lots of other adventures. Thank you, Lord, for knowing our needs before we ask and preparing us for this move.
mom...
ReplyDeleteit will be hard to see them go, won't it? wow. it will be an exciting time for their family as they begin their new adventure. God is good, and He will shape them in this new season. I am so thankful that you have this time to spend with them before they leave.
love you mom.
